| United Way of Lake County Day of Caring |
| How does Day of Caring work?
All non-profit agencies in Lake County have been invited to submit one or more projects that can be
accomplished in one day. All project information is due to United Way on or before May 9th.
Projects may be large or small, involving large groups or as few as two people. Volunteers might
landscape, paint, build and/or clean OR provide social activities such as an outing for nursing home
residents, an ice cream social with entertainment for seniors, carnival for kids, or picnic for members
of a parenting support group.
Volunteers from local businesses, service organizations, faith communities, schools and Lake County
residents offer energy & skills to complete these projects.

The event is a highly advertised opportunity for you to showcase business services or products to local consumers. Residents attend the event for FREE, listen to music, and learn about the benefits of neighborhood businesses such as yours. Food will available for sale by local vendors
